Core Values
All the believers devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer...They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts...

CELEBRATION
Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! (Philippians 4:4)
Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18)
We value celebration! Ever notice how much God liked to party in the Bible? In the Old Testament, God structured Israel's annual calendar around celebrations (Leviticus 23). In the New Testament, Jesus was no stranger to parties and gatherings of food and celebration. We believe that gathering with our spiritual family consistently for the purpose of celebration is not just a good thing to do, but it is a vital part of our spirituality. A biblical term for that type of spirituality is called "fellowship." We are so committed to it (and we believe God is too) that we build it into our sacred rhythms as a church; not as an extra, but as a priority. So, the first Sunday of each month is dedicated to gathering together to eat, drink, and celebrate.

CONNECTION
And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near. (Hebrews 10:24-25)
We value connecting to God and with each other. While private devotion is needed on the journey of spiritual growth, the ancient and sacred practice of corporate worship is necessary to our spiritual formation. Paul called the church the body of Christ: one body, comprised of many members, and connected under the lordship of Jesus and by the work of the Holy Spirit. When we gather for worship, we honor God, receive strength and instruction from the Holy Spirit, and connect our individual gifts to the body of Christ to be the hands and feet of Jesus to our world. So, the second and fourth Sunday of each month is dedicated to gathering together for corporate worship and connection.

COMMUNITY
As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another. (Proverbs 27:17)
Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed. If one person falls, the other can reach out and help. But someone who falls alone is in real trouble. (Ecclesiastes 4:9-10)
We value authentic community because we were created for it. Life presents many challenges, and it is unwise to think we can achieve God's best for us and our families living isolated, disconnected lives. At the core of human need is the desire to be seen and known. We strive to create genuine community where people can find and nurture deeply meaningful relationships. It is through these relationships that we experience healing and life change. If Jesus didn't go it alone, neither should we. So, the week of the third Sunday each month is dedicated to gathering together in small groups in various locations for community and discipleship.
